A call was put out that a craft friend was very sick. She has cancer and was having a rough time. A lady I didn't know at the time was taking on the large undertaking of gathering a few special blocks and forming some sort of comfort quilt for them. Time was of the essence. She wanted her to know how much we love her as soon as possible. We had less than a week to get blocks to her.
I pulled out a couple of strip blocks and personalized them. My only contribution to this quilt was 2 blocks. The rest were other crafters and quilters. And Peggy ,who pulled it all together.
The latest news is that our friend is on chemo with a good prognosis and should recieve her quilt soon. I was honored to contribute to this effort.

I always feel better when I have my grandma's quilt with me [as do the kids] She will certainly cherish this for many years.
