New lap quilt

The Grapes Of Mardi Gras to be exact. It started out with a Mardi Gras challenge which is where the scrap blocks came into play. The colors had orange, green and purple. Then I started pulling other material from my stash and decided to make a lap quilt for my son in law for his birthday. I just did a sort of squared off meandering pattern to quilt it freestyle. Which I hope to be really good at someday,LOL! It is fun though. I have had both grape materials for at least four years. It is totally a stash quilt.

I obviously need to practice with my camera more as the colors are not as clear in the one taken outside. Maybe the flash? Took another one inside(granddaughters legs,LOL!) and it must be a flash thing cause the two inside are much truer color. I need camera classes!

Lovely quilt! And it looks like you are doing a great job with your machine quilting. I have been working on that for a long time and lately have started being more comfortable with it. I love what they are doing with it nowadays.
