Lots of totes!

My stepmom sent me an article out of her newapaper about totes to replace plastic grocery bags. My sister told her that I had made several of the juice pouch purses a few years ago for all the girls that hang out at my house. My granddaughter and her friends...even the principals daughter after she saw them and saved me a bunch of empty pouches. The one she saw in the article was bigger. Over 30 pouches total!
The first picture is of the juice purse. The next is the lining of that purse, then Elvis, the juice tote ,a nurse purse I made last year that I am sending to my sister snd the green checked is from dish towels.

I decided to make that for her and a couple of unlined simple totes. One out of 2 dollar tree dishtowels and one from 2 Elvis fat quarters.

I think she will like and use them.

Can you explain a bit about the juice pouch tote please.

Probably one of the most important steps is the prep. You need to cut a slit in the bottom of each and wash them well. Then they need to dry inside and out .I am going to be making another in a few days.

these are super cool...do you use your sewing machine to make them?...super eco friendly too.

Too right she'll like them. They're great and while they're not made from recycled juice boxes they're just as thrifty and functional.
I saw you pop up in my "follow" friends, so ta. I hope you might be inspired to jump on board the op shop challenge. If you do post about your thrifty finds, be sure to shout out and I'll add your post to the blogroll.

I have always liked the juice pouch bags. Not having any little ones anywhere around me - yet...no one drinks them. I even went so far as to think about making the purchase then pouring it down the drain. Now, that IS bad. Hmmm...Minute Maid juice...may actually be real juice. I've got to go to the store this afternoon.

As for your comment about my DH turning down the job. They would probably want him there before 9 a.m. Or work until 9:30 p.m or later. Either would definitely put a kink in his routine! ;o)
